- 10mm long (3/8in): enough to go through the sleepers and thick underlay
- Longer track screws designed to be used on model railways and specifically flexible track
- Size: small enough not to be noticed
- Better hold than nails and pins
- Allows easy removal without damaging the track
- Easier and safer to fit than pins as they do not require a hammer
- Self tapping: will create their own thread into the wood
- No pre-drilling required unless screwing into hard wood
- Recommended for N, OO9 and HOe track
